Vampires~

First off, I would like to make the point that anyone on the internet or the world in general who tells you that they have all the answers for definite (including myself) is telling a lie, whether intentionally so or not. The simple fact is, that the very nature of reality is interpreted differently and uniquely by each individual's personal perceptions. One perfect example of this is the existence of people we call "color blind". To one person a color may appear yellow, while to another it appears green, while to a dog it may appear entirely colorless. So, what is the true color? Can you tell the person who sees green instead of yellow, that what they are seeing is any less real than what you are seeing? In another example, Vietnamese and other cultures consume the meat of dogs, which to a Western mind may sound uncivilized. However, Hindus - who revere cows - would regard Western practices of eating beef as sacrilegious. So, who is right, and who is wrong, in the end? And if we can't even agree on these such simple things...how can we ever hope to truly define and distill reality into one neat little package?
In essence, we do not see things as they are, we see things as we are (this quaint little saying was stolen from the Jewish Torah ) and it is indeed very difficult to maintain an open mind when part of us yearns for something consistent. But the best each of us can do is give our own interpretations of life, influenced by our own experiences, biases, thoughts and feelings...aided by the common consensus of how society tends to perceive things as well. That is what I am about to do in my presentation here on theories, thoughts and perceptions of vampiric origins. You will gain my interpretation, common traits and beliefs that most people tend to agree on, as well as interpretations of others.
If I were to ask you "what makes a human being?", what would you answer? Would you take a sociological approach and say that humans may be social creatures of reason, group behavior, etc? Would you take a scientific approach and say that humans are made up of energy molecules? How about a biological approach in which human beings might be made up of cells and tissues and nerves...or a psychological approach, to say that human beings are creatures of influence and experience and that every little thing in life has some sort of psychological impact? Or perhaps, you might offer some spiritual take on things...we are all part of the great balance of life/we are all children of God/we have evolved from animals/we are the victims of the wheel of Samara/etc? Then again, if you are a philosopher, you may address man's reasoning and emotional nature....or, say you are a historian, you may define man in terms of generations and ancestors. In the end, your perceptions and hence your response would depend on what type of mind frame you are coming from. But, are human beings truly and or only "one" of these categories as mentioned? Are we just matter, are we just spiritual creatures, etc? Who can say for definite? Although anyone can probably offer some proof or reasoning for believing what they do. So why judge? The world is made up of all sorts of people...with all sorts of viewpoints...perhaps then, a human being can actually be a combination of all of these categories, to some degree.
And therefore, in that same light, so too can a vampire be defined in a multitude of ways. Below I shall present some popular theories and beliefs...you may judge for yourself as to what makes sense.

Genetics - Some believe that living vampires are the products of genetic mutations. This would mean that some slight change in the body, differing from that of an average human being, gives the vampire unusual cravings (either for blood or energy, though the genetic mutation theory generally tends to be associated with blood vampires). In a way, this is similar to Pica...a trait in some human beings associated with genetics, biology and psychology which leaves the person craving unusual nourishment (ashes, chalk, paint chips, etc). Some also take this genetic mutation vampire theory and apply it to a slight sense of photo sensitivity, slightly heightened senses, etc.  Furthermore, some people claim that somehow they can "pass on" this genetic mutation in the form of a virus transmitted through their blood to that of another non-vampiric person.

Ancient/Alien Race -Now...don't laugh, this is actually a surprisingly popular concept. Many living vampires claim to have vivid past life memories, some in which they trace their first existence back to some sort of ancient society of people, or an alien race of people which was obliterated waaaaaay back when. It is their belief that they are reincarnations of that existence. One person I talked too said he could recall an entire language of this "obliterated" culture and gave me a snippet of it. "Tumem Garla", he said...which supposedly meant "You also, are one". If this means anything to anyone else...good for you.

Vampiric spirit possession -Another popular theory seems to be the idea of possession by a vampiric "spirit" or essence. If you read Katherine Ramsland's Book Piercing the Darkness, there is an entire story about her encounter with a self-proclaimed vampire who believed his vampiric nature to merely be the influence of a vampiric spirit. Sometimes, this theory of being possessed by a vampiric spirit also gets tied in with the aforementioned ancient society idea...in which the person believes they are being influenced by the spirit of a member of one of those ancient societies.

Scientific/biological -This is a popular notion with the concept of psychic vampirism. Scientific evidence suggests that all human beings and all matter in the world is composed of energy (positively and negatively charged atoms...and gee, doesn't this just reek of a chemistry class, suddenly?). The vampire, in this case, has a shortage of or cannot maintain a consistent balance of life-energy to sustain normal health and regenerate body cells, so he/she absorbs the energy of other beings. The vampire might also feed off of the ionosphere - that atmosphere of energy that allows radio waves, microwave and ultraviolet rays and so forth to travel upon. Some may also apply this energy shortage to the notion that vampires tend to be sensitive to extremes (sunlight, bright lights, strong smells, etc)...in other words, their ability to draw energy from other beings for sustenance, also forces them to perceive the energy in other things to a stronger degree.

Psychological/Vampiric Personalities - The psychological approach to vampirism may be similar to the notion of schizophrenia, in that the person has somehow "convinced themselves" that part of them is a vampire. Their convictions in this regard become so strong that they will themselves to suck the energy out of people, or to drink their blood as the case may be. Some also may see a reflection of oral retention in blood vampirism.
Personally, my views in regards to how vampires are created stem from concepts involving both genetics and spirituality.   In my spiritual orientation, I believe that all things in life as we know it are formed from spiritual energy (if you want a better understanding of this, read any book on tantric philosophy discussing the concepts of Shiva and Shakti.  One such book is The Heart of Meditation by Swami Durgananda).  I believe that this energy can break apart (for example, when something is hurt or destroyed) and brought together again (for example, when something is created or born or healed).  My theories in regards to vampires are, in a nutshell, that certain pieces of spiritual energy (which we'll call "vampire energy") tend  to want to "group" together in a certain way, and therefore tend to not be so easily broken apart, or remain "floating" closer together in a way that normal human energy pieces don't (IE: human energy pieces spread out more when they are broken apart).  A certain genetic disposition within the physical body perhaps enables vampiric energy pieces to group together more easily when inhabiting said body.  Thus, the spiritual energy of the vampire remains the same within different physical incarnations.   This would explain the vampire's feelings of being "out of place", and of having strong past life memories, etc.
I also believe that since it would no doubt take such a high level of power to keep this vampiric energy together (to keep it from separating) the vampire must therefore consume additional sources of human energy as fuel; a sort of "spiritual padding".  This would explain a vampire's need to feed off of psychic energy or human blood (which also contains energy, more directly).
Furthermore, the fact that many vampires only become aware of their nature following puberty or some sort of traumatic event, could be because it is at such life-threatening moments that the vampiric energy struggles even more noticeably to thrive and survive when it's host body is in danger of destruction.  Thus, it reaches out in any way it can to grab energy, which is probably much more observable and understandable by the vampire experiencing this desperate struggle for survival.
Finally, the idea that most vampires tend to heal faster and have stronger spiritual connections/abilities than normal humans could be due to the idea that the vampiric energy's need to survive and thrive is so strong, that is heals injuries as fast as possible, and that is will aid that process in whichever ways possible - including allowing the vampire to tap into spiritual energy manipulation and feeding techniques.

There are many different theories of origin, these theories and or memories have sometimes translated into the forming of various Houses. Others however are just speculative and haven't really been accepted. . In some circles of the Vampire Community belief in these origin theories is considered mental masturbation, since it can't be proven; but nonetheless; These are some of the current theories. Theories are arranged alphabetically , and not in order of acceptance.

Affliction

Some people think they are possessed. By a demon or other entity. As ridiculous as this sounds to some, This may actually be representative of Astral Symbiotic, taking a host.

Alien (Starseed) Vampire Theory

There are a rare few psychic vampires that believe themselves to be Alien vampires..Otherkin from vampiric alien races or the product, of energetic manipulation/alteration of their souls. Many otherkin vampires feel that they are vampiric due to an inability to process the local energy as they did in their home worlds.. Among those said to have done this are the Plieadians , Draconians, Orions, and Reptilians ..ect...

Atlantean Alteration

This theory delves into Atlantean mythology, saying a certain priest caste of Atlanteans, cut altered themselves spiritually, and decided to evolve as vampires.

Cain

The short version: Cain Killed Abel. God gave Cain a special mark and declared that any who killed him would suffer vengeance "sevenfold." Cain was then banished to the Land of Nod, east of Eden. To Some Cain is considered the first vampire.

Cursed

Some people believe that they were cursed or Damned by God...or Any Deity. Pretty much, similar to the Cain theory.

Disease

Some Believe they are the result of a disease. .Particularly the K-17 virus and or the V-5 virus ...Unfortunately these viruses and diseases are fitional...They got this from the media. The V-5 virus comes from the 1998 BBC show and later a movie called "Ultraviolet". K-17 virus was mentioned in 2002 during the tv show "Reign in Darkness" .

Though porphyria /Xeroderma Pigmentosum are actual Genetic disorders that causes a lack of a specific enzyme in order to make heme.. (Garlic is known to agitate this condition to dangerous levels.) Hence where the myths of Garlic comes from.

Egyptian Alteration

The Egyptian alteration refers to a period in time in which a group of souls chose to be altered, for their spiritual pursuits. The Alteration severed their silver cord and, also broke/removed/ their navel chakra, and pretty much hotwired their subtle body. The resulting process was that they became vampiric,.But are able to progress spiritually with full awareness of past lifetimes.

Lilith

In Jewish mysticism Lilith is the first wife of Adam, who is eventually cast out of Eden. she refused to comply with Adam's demand that she submit herself to him, and in the end fled from him by using the Ineffable Name. Adam then complained to God about his loneliness, and the creation of Eve followed, together with the "Fall" and the Expulsion from Eden. Adam, blaming this on Eve, separated from her, and for a time reunited with Lilith, before finally returning to Eve. Lilith bore Adam a number of children in this interval, who became demons. After Adam's reconciliation with Eve, Lilith assumed the Queenship of the Demons; in some kabbalist versions she is the consort of Samael, in others she remains Single

One of the origin beliefs is that these demons were actually the first Vampires. And that Eden, Is actually referring to the spiritual plain, the expulsion is the transcendence of the spirit to the physical world. Therefore when Lilith bore the children these demons actually vampires.

To others, Lilith is considered to be the first Vampire.

Merovech

Actually This theory, isn't necessarily on origin but on genetics. Some Psychic Vampires believe That Merovech, the Frankish chief; was a vampire, and the Merovingian line , from which perhaps 10s of thousands of families are descendants of, passed on a recessive genetic trait, of vampirism. This Theory is Most closely associated with House Quinotaur.

Nephilim or Watcher Theory

Due to the Head heart hands relationship of some psychic vampires, it has left part of the community to come up with the theory that they are remnants of the Nephilim. or part angelic or fallen angel. The Nephilim were the children of Human mothers and a group of Angels Called "Watchers". One of the legends says that a single Nephilim survived by hiding in a cave that was sealed water tight. Hence, was able to propagate a line later.

The Religious View~

The Andromenati

    Who are they?

Nimrod and the Queen of Babylon

Nimrod was a mighty (Gerber) hunter. He was Orion in the constellations.

He lived to be 1,000 years old. He created Nineveh 500 years after the flood.

Ge 10:8 And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth.
Ge 10:9 He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD.
1Ch 1:10 And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be mighty upon the earth.
Mic 5:6 And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.

Who is Andromeda?

In Greek mythology, Andromeda was the daughter of Cepheus and Cassiopeia, king and queen of the kingdom of Ethiopia. Her mother Cassiopeia bragged that she was more beautiful than the Nereids, the nymphomaniac-daughters of the sea god Nereus and often seen accompanying Poseidon. To punish the Queen for her arrogance, Poseidon, brother to Zeus and god of the Sea, sent a sea monster (Cetus) to ravage the coast of Ethiopia including the kingdom of the vain Queen. The desperate King consulted the Oracle of Zeus, who announced that no respite would be found until the king sacrificed (human sacrifice) his virgin daughter Andromeda to the monster Cetus. She was chained naked to a rock on the coast of Jaffa. Perseus, returning from having slain the Gorgon Medusa (George and the Dragon), found Andromeda and slew Cetus. He set her free, and married her in spite of Andromeda having been previously promised to her uncle Phineus. (Wiki, 2010)

At the wedding, a quarrel took place between the rivals, and Phineus was turned to stone by the sight of the Gorgon's head (Ovid, Metamorphoses v. 1).

The problem with this myth, like other myths, is that it has been tailored to the hoi poilloi. It ignores that fact that history also refers to Andromeda as Cassiopeia. It is documented history that she was married to Nimrod and not to Perseus. We also know that Nimrod came from Ethiopia and conquered Shinar and met and married Andromeda in the migration. So, while the Greek myth is predicated in fact it is also misinformation. Whether or not the misinformation is deliberate or not I will let you decide. I do find it rather curious that Cepheus was so willing to sacrifice his own daughter. We all know that Andromeda was never a virgin, she was a prostitute. That is why even the Greeks dressed her in a slutty red dress.

Any effort to trace the origins of the myth, legend, and lore of goddess-worship will eventually lead one back to a single historical figure---Semiramis, wife of Nimrod and queen of Babylon, and this is especially true when considering the goddess/planet Venus.

Before we can begin to deal with Semiramis though, we must (as with any historical figure) gain at least a general understanding of her cultural and temporal setting. Since I have found in my researches that neither proven scientific truth nor gleanings of fact from the body of ancient legends in any way contradicts a proper understanding of biblical revelation, I will use the scriptural framework of history as a basis upon which to reconstruct the story of Semiramis the woman.

When Noah and his family left the ark after the flood, they settled first at the northern feet of Ararat facing what is today Georgia, USSR. From here, these eight souls began to spread out into the surrounding districts of northern Iran and Syria, as well as eastern Turkey. After a considerable period (perhaps 5 to 6 hundred years), the families of Noah's descendants began to scatter a bit more widely due to increasing population, and perhaps some degree of rivalry or even enmity between the families of Japheth, Shem, and Ham. In this way we find that within about half a millennium the entire "fertile crescent", as well as the Nile valley, the Anatolian and Iranian plateaus, Arabia, and Ethiopia have been sparsely settled---but with a decided majority of Noah's descendants living in the lower regions of Mesopotamia (which would come to be called Sumer and Akkad).

Modern archaeology has confirmed the fact that the first inhabitants of these areas were homogeneous in both race and culture, and the most reliable researches indicate that it was from here that population, animal husbandry, metallurgy, agriculture, and "citification" spread throughout the earth. The scientific and scriptural views are in exact agreement upon the origin and spread of races and civilization---the only point of difference is the time scale involved! Whereas the scriptures clearly indicate the existence of all these elements of civilization long before the flood; orthodox science, by it's denial of the bible is required to construct a mythical stone age several millennia long in order to account for the same phenomena.

It was in Mesopotamia that the first cities were built after the flood, and the first of these was quite naturally named after the very first city built by man before the flood---Enoch. Due to vagaries of linguistic permutation, this name has come down to us as Erech or Uruk in Sumeria. In all there were seven major cities built near the head of the Persian Gulf, leading to the name "Land of the Seven Cities" commonly found in the early mythologies of the world. These seven cities are enumerated in Genesis as those which were conquered by Nimrod, establishing the world's first empire. The earliest Babylonian legends tell of a conquering people who came up out of the Persian Gulf and established an empire from these cities. This seems to fit well with what we know of the movements of Nimrod in his early career. He was a native of Ethiopia and was widely traveled among the few populated areas of those days. When he set out to build himself an army of conquest, he recruited from his "cousins" the descendants of Sheba and Dedan who had come up through Arabia to settle on the Asian mainland at the Straight of Hormuz and on the Indus river in what is now Afghanistan (these people were the Dravidians who were driven southward into India by the later Aryan invasion). After raising his army, Nimrod ferried them up the gulf in the world's first naval armada, and conquered his empire. The best estimates place the time of the conquest as about 4000 to 3500 BC, and about 1000 years after the flood of Noah.

In the midst of the tumult of war Nimrod and Semiramis met--and in none too savory circumstances, for tradition states that she was an inn/brothel keeper in the city of Erech---leading one to speculate upon the nature of their initial acquaintance. Semiramis was a native of Erech, which as evidenced by it's name seems to have been built by a Hamitic family (Ham's wife was said to have been descended from Cain who built the first Erech in honor of his son). The name Semiramis is a later, Hellenized form of the Sumerian name "Sammur-amat", or "gift of the sea."

The initial element "sammur" when translated into Hebrew becomes "Shinar" (the biblical name for lower Mesopotamia), and is the word from which we derive "Sumeria". This one tarnished woman then, had such a lasting impact upon world history that not only do we call by her name the land from which civilization flowed, but God himself through the sacred writer has let us know that its distinguishing characteristic was that it was "the Land of Shinar," or Semiramis. Very little has come down to us through the millennia concerning Semiramis' rise to power, but it is safe to assume that it was initially upon Nimrod's coattails that she rode, although later in life as well as throughout history her influence overwhelmingly obscured that of her husband. Of course, it would not do to have an ex-harlot upon the throne, so the "polite fiction" was invented that she was a virgin sprung from the sea at Nimrod's landing, and hence a suitable bride for the emperor(thus the title Semiramis which has totally obscured her original name).

Semiramis was the instigator in forming the false religion aimed at supporting their rule, and of course her suggestion fell upon open ears. The religion she invented was based primarily upon a corruption of the primeval astronomy formulated by Noah's righteous ancestors before the flood. In the original this system depicted by means of constellations the story of Satan's rebellion and the war in the heavens, his subversion of mankind, the fall of Adam and Eve, the promise of One to come who would suffer and die to relieve man from the curse of sin then be installed as Lord of Creation, and the final re-subjugation of the cosmos to God through Him.

These eternal truths were corrupted by her (rather, quite obviously, by the evil one controlling her) into a mythic cycle wherein the great dragon is depicted as the rightful lord of the universe whose throne has been temporarily usurped by One whom we can recognize as the God of the Bible. The serpent creates man in his present miserable state, but promises that a child would one day born of a divine mother---which child would supplant God, become a god himself, and return rulership of the Earth to the serpent. These fables were based upon the then widely-known story of the constellations, and were introduced under the guise of revealing the hidden esoteric knowledge concealed in them (regardless of the fact that the original was quite straightforward).

Although this esoteric-ism was the second element in Semiramis' cult, it only masked the actual goal which was the worship of the "heavenly host," which the Bible equates with Satan's army of fallen angels. Satan was quite willing to receive worship "by proxy", hence the third major element of the mystery religion was emperor-worship. This religion was propagated by a hierarchy of priests and priestesses, to whom were assigned the task of initiating the populace at large into it's ascending degrees of revelation, culminating at the highest level in both direct worship of Satan and demon-possession.

Although Nimrod was a brilliant strategist, he made a fatal blunder when he allowed Semiramis to retain full control over this religious hierarchy, and through it the minds and hearts of the people; for when a schism occurred between them she was able to turn it from a tool of support into a deadly weapon. The rift between husband and wife occurred when the queen bore an illegitimate son, and the king threatened her with both dethronement and exposure of her true origin. Semiramis, of course would not allow this to take place, and devised a plot to overthrow Nimrod.

During the course of the New Year's festivities at which the advent of Nimrod's rule was celebrated, there was a certain feast exclusively for the royal family and the upper echelons of the priesthood. During this feast, which included "courses" of psychedelic and hallucinogenic drugs, a year-old ram was traditionally sacrificed by being torn limb-from-limb while still alive, and it's flesh eaten raw. This ram symbolized the old year passing into the heavens to allow room for the new year. A new-born lamb was then presented which, symbolizing the new year, would be kept and fattened for the next year's ceremonies. This year Semiramis directed the ritual according to the formula, with the exception that when the time came for the ram to be slaughtered, it was the king who was torn to pieces at the hands of the drug-crazed priesthood and Semiramis' bastard son was installed as king. Thus Nimrod, the mighty hunter, died a horrible death as a trapped beast himself.

Semiramis named her son Damu (from the Sumerian "dam," or blood), which in the later Babylonian language became Dammuzi, in Hebrew Tammuz, and in Greek Adonis. Of course, Semiramis assumed the regency for her infant son, and ruled as absolute monarch for 42 more years. In order to avoid having to kill her son on the next New Year's Day, she instituted an annual nation-wide sports competition, the winner of which would have the "honor" of taking Damu's place and ascending into heaven to become a god.

Semiramis was not unopposed in her arrogation of the regency, however, or her rule as a woman. The military arm of the government was divided into two camps for and against her, and a short war ensued which ended when the populace (roused by the priesthood) not only refused to support the "rebels" but actively opposed them. In the course of this war, though, things became so close that Semiramis was forced to build a system of walls, towers, and gates around Babylon to defend herself. She was thus the first to build fortifications and her crown afterwards was in the form of the turreted walls of Babylon. To oppose the accusations of "mere" womanhood laid against her, she had herself deified as the mother of the god Damu (since only a god can beget a god) , and installed as "The Queen of Heaven" pictured in the constellation Cassiopeia, which the ancients had intended as a corporate representation of those people faithful to God who will be enthroned by Him after the end of the age.

In spite of her cleverness, though, she also sowed the seeds of her own destruction. As she raised her son, she imbued him with divinity in the eyes of the priests and people as the means of retaining control as the divine mother without seeming to aggrandize herself. As Damu grew he became used to having every whim instantly gratified by a subservient, indeed groveling, populace. For safety's sake he had a personal bodyguard/companion group which he was never without, and which formed an elite corps of soldiery loyal and accountable to him alone. Upon coming to maturity and demanding of his mother to be installed as king, she not only refused him this--but, seeing him now as a challenge to her rule, slated him for the same death she had meted to his father. Damu caught on to her scheme, and pre-empted his "assumption" by slaying his mother with his own sword, and putting down any priestly protests by purging the hierarchy of all who would not vow allegiance to him. Thus Semiramis died after reigning as queen over Babylon for 102 years.

These events laid the groundwork for all of the pagan religious systems of antiquity, as well as many alive today. Semiramis, in particular was the model and original of every goddess and female cult figure in the ancient and modern worlds (either directly or by derivation); and thus it essential to know her story in order to discern what is factual legend and what is merely myth.
